Advocacy

The NHPG, The SNP Alliance and its members were the principle catalyst for establishing Special Needs Plan legislation. We preceded this effort with initiatives to advance risk-adjusted MA payment, including the application of a frailty adjuster to compensate for inadequacies in payment for high-cost/high-risk beneficiaries. We have a long history of advancing the integration of Medicare and Medicaid and improving performance measurement for high-risk populations. We maintain ongoing relationships with key health care policy leaders. We welcome collaborative opportunities with all those who share our vision and values.
