"Advancing SNP Policy and Practice in 2010"

The SNP Alliance 2010 Spring meeting will be held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC on March 29-30, 2010. This member-only meeting will focus on our 2010 policy agenda, with special emphasis on the following:
- Explore options to advance our overall legislative agenda.
- Review the status of health care reform with Congressional staff and refine our SNP legislative agenda accordingly.
- Resolve key regulatory and oversight concerns with CMS executive leadership.
- Work with CMS to fine-tune model of care requirements and resolve disconnects between SNP MOC attestations and methods for evaluating and auditing SNP performance.
- Sharpen our vision for Medicare/Medicaid integration and develop a strategy to advance integration with CMS and States.
- Establish comparative performance measures and methods for the SNP Alliance 2010 Annual Survey.
- Define collaborative efforts to advance SNP performance among Alliance members.
- Refine our payment policy agenda, given anticipated rates, policy and research.
- Address a targeted set of issues identified by D-SNPs, I-SNPs, C-SNPs, and Legacy FIDESNPs as 2010 priorities.
We have invited Congressional staff to join us the morning of the first day for a legislative update and we will have CMS staff on hand to work with us on a series of regulatory issues surfaced by members jointly or through conference calls of the newly formed affinity groups.
